Capital Wolves - First Team Practice

The U12 and U14 teams took to the ice this weekend for the first official practice of the Capital Wolves!  The teams are getting together in advance of the Nutmeg Games in early August, and they also took the opportunity to don our new game uniforms!

Calling all Volunteers

Capital Wolves Families,

We are always looking for more help - as many hands make light work - and great volunteers help make for a great seasons for our girls!  If you are interested in being a volunteer - whether on-ice (i.e. coaches) or off-ice (e.g. team managers, locker room parents, etc.) - there are a few steps of "paperwork" required.  Please click on the 'Coaches and Volunteers' tab on our site to walk through the process of signing up as a volunteer.

Thanks!

2017-2018 USA Hockey Registration - ACTION REQUIRED - REMINDER

Capital Wolves Families,

Just a reminder, please complete your USA Hockey registration following the steps below.  Players (and coaches) are not permitted to step on the ice without a new number for 2017-2018.

In advance of the 2017-2018 hockey season every player and coach needs to register for USA Hockey, and then update their Capital Wolves account swith their newly assigned registration number.  USA Hockey requires a new registration every year, and players (and coaches) will be unable to skate in any practices or games until this is completed.

Steps:

  1. Visit https://usahockeyregistration.com/login_input.action to complete your registration.
  2. Save your newly assigned number (it should also be emailed to you).
  3. Log onto www.capitalwolves.com.
  4. Select 'Edit My Account' from the bottom left navigation, click on the 'Personal' tab, and update the field 'ID' with your new number.  Click submit.

(If for some reason your number isn't recognized immediately, wait a few minutes for the USAH database to be updated.)

Thank you for your cooperation!

Player Releases

Capital Wolves Families,

If your child played in any organization other than West Hartford Youth Hockey last season, you will need to request a release through your previous team.

Most organizations have a release request form or process through their website, typically in the same location where you register for teams/tryouts.  If you are unsure of where or how to request a release, contact your previous team's registrar.  Your prior organization should handle the release process through CHC - you only need to request/inititate it.  The release process was instituted by CHC/CGHL to ensure that all financial obligations were met with the previous organization prior to joining a new team.

Please submit your release request as soon as possible, to allow your old organization and CHC time to process - the releases are required prior to rostering on your new teams.  (NOTE:  The Capital Wolves team registrations will be handled through West Hartford, so if you played with WHYHA last season then you will not need to request a release.)

Thanks!
